Mixed Media, Process Painting, Writing and Collage:
Developing a practice of intuitive art-making can be a wonderful way to meet parts of self that cannot be accessed through words alone. Image and symbol communicate in ways beyond the logical mind, allowing deep wisdom of the inner world to be accessed.
Moving from the left brain (words and logic) to the right (symbol and creativity) holds many benefits. As paint and image are moved on paper, aspects of the self are also transformed. The language of art and symbol have much to teach us. After many years of using these creative outlets, I continue to learn about myself in enriching and unexpected ways. Inviting imagination to enter into daily life through creative process is also a natural way to release tension.

Movement, Yoga and Dance:
Becoming aware of our physical bodies can be scary, challenging, uncomfortable and unfamiliar. I have found that getting present with my self and learning how to understand the messages being sent through my body is actually quite an adventure!
Through gentle movement, yoga practice or dance, learning to be present with the physical self can become a sacred experience.
The relationship with self is multifaceted. Nurturing the physical body is vital in order to live an empowered life. Since integrating consistent and conscious movement into my life, my body has become my ally; I didn't know it was possible to be content and connected to my physical self until I stepped on this path and looked around with eyes wide open.

Walking, Connecting in Nature and Meditation:
With busy lives and full schedules, many of us become disconnected from the natural world. Stepping outside, moving among the elements, breathing deeply, and slowing down are simple ways to realign with our true self, our spiritual side.
Meditation is one way to regulate thoughts and unlock emotions that are held within. Clarity comes through intuitively connecting with nature and the self as it speaks to us.
Taking conscious steps when on a walk, focusing on breath, reciting a mantra, expressing an affirmation, planting and tending a garden are all ways to reconnect with the self, meditate, release and relax.
